Basso Terms of Use

About these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Tiki Studios ("Tiki Studios", "we", "us"), an independent mobile studio brand based in Türkiye. They apply to all of our apps and games, including Basso, Pipzi, PromptMaster and MaskedTalk, and every app or game we release in the future (each a "product").

The first part applies to all products. The second part has one section per product with extra rules for that product. If they differ, the product section applies to that product. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

By downloading, installing or using a product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

Who can use our products

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if a product section says so. MaskedTalk requires 18. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms for you.

Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our products for non-commercial purposes, under these Terms and the rules of the store you got the product from. Our products, including their software, content, design, characters and brands, belong to Tiki Studios or our licensors. No other rights are granted.

Purchases and subscriptions

Where you pay. All purchases are made through the Apple App Store, Google Play, Huawei AppGallery or Samsung Galaxy Store, under that store's terms. We never see your payment details.

Prices. The price is shown in the app and in the store before you buy, and can vary by country and currency.

Free trials. Where a product offers a free trial, the length is shown before you start. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it turns into the paid subscription you chose and your store account is charged.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your store account is charged within the 24 hours before renewal.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your store account's subscription settings. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by the store under its own refund policy. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. This does not limit any rights you have under consumer law.

Restoring. Purchases are tied to your store account. Use Restore purchases in the app on a new device while signed in to the same store account.

Virtual items. Some products sell in-app currency or consumable items, such as gems, boosts or super messages. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred, and are used up as described in the product. Unless the law requires otherwise, they are not refundable once delivered.

Price changes. If a subscription price changes, the store tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, sell, rent or distribute our products or their content;
• reverse engineer them, except where the law allows it;
• cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or automate access;
• interfere with our products, servers or other users;
• use our products for anything unlawful.

Content you create

Some products let you post content, such as messages, photos, reviews or profiles. You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and process it as needed to run the product and keep it safe. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for safety, legal or backup reasons for a limited time.

You are responsible for your content. You must not post content that is illegal, sexual content involving minors, harassment, hate, threats, spam, other people's private information, or content you do not have the rights to share. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, and we report child sexual abuse material and credible threats to the authorities.

You can report content and block users in products that have community features.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using a product at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the product. If we discontinue a paid product, we will tell you in advance where we can.

Third-party services

Our products use services from other companies, such as the app stores, Google Firebase, Google AdMob and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for them.

Health and safety

Our products are for self-improvement, learning and entertainment. They do not provide medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Product sections say more where it matters.

Additional terms for Apple users

If you got a product from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and Tiki Studios, not Apple. Tiki Studios, not Apple, is responsible for the product and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the product.
• If the product fails to meet an applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the product, including product liability, legal compliance and consumer protection claims, or for third-party intellectual property claims.
• You confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo and are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Disclaimers

Our products are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise that a product will always be available, error-free or produce a particular result.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Tiki Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye. The courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction over disputes, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in the country where you live. If you live in the EU or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. If a change is significant, we will tell you before it takes effect. If you keep using a product after that, you accept the updated Terms.
